Timeline and expected results
The project aims at creating a self-sustaining centre of excellence that provides continuous policy support to Sri Lanka’s transport sector.
The project will run for three years:
- During the first year, the institutional setup is developed and relevant stakeholders are engaged.
- Simultaneously, a detailed research program, facilities, staffing and budget for the following two years are planned.
- The research program of the excellence centre will focus on locally relevant road safety challenges, aligning with the Safe System approach.
